Eric D: “Loss of Signal” message on Windows XP Media Center Edition…?
Whenever I go to the media center computer which i built, turn it on, and attempt to watch tv, i always get the same old annoying message “Loss of Signal”, and all the bs that comes with it. Not once has it ever worked, I tried changing the coax cable, uninstalling sht that might interfere with the tuner, and everything on the first page of google when i type “Loss of Signal windows xp media center”.. If anyone is able to help, the specs of my computer are:
TV Tuner: ATI HDTV Wonder
Video Card: ATI Radeon X800 256MB
Motherboard: MSI MS-6728
RAM: 1.5GB
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.60 GHz
Service Pack: 3
By the way, for those who think “omg, this guy has some weak hardware” and stuff like that… I built this computer out of a couple useless spare parts at my dads house while i was visiting him.
So please, I need some help!!

I would look at “the network device itself is bad”. Update the drivers first before replacing the TV tuner.
