How to prove that my co-worker is not color blind?

Joy K: How could I prove that my co worker is not color blind?
I have a co worker that claim’s to be color blind and her “color blindness” prevent’s her from doing certain task’s. She has done thing’s that make’s you wonder if she truly is or if she’s faking it. She has slipped up many time’s. How could I prove that she isn’t? Is there a way? Thank you to all who answer.

Ask her to do a color blindness test. Or ask her for a red pen.

Write like jokes or rude coments in one of those color formats that the color blind can’t read, if u don’t know wut I’m talkin bout google color blind tests, there like 2 neon lookin colors regular people see the pink and green for example wen a color blind person will jus see grey, and maybe she’s only partialy color blind can’t see reds or wutever

Although it is true that there are medical tests to demonstrate color blindness, and it is also true that the vast majority of color blind people are men, not women, there is really no way for you to “prove” that your co-worker is faking it. Naturally, it drives you crazy, particularly when you have to pick up the slack she leaves by not doing her fair share. But the world is full of people like her. If she had not stumbled on the “color blind” routine, she’d have found something else to use as an excuse. Your best bet is to take a deep breath and move on. Struggling to “prove” her to be a fake will probably not succeed and will only cast you in the role of being nasty and vindictive. She’s a challenge to deal with, but making the best of it and being the better person will benefit you in the long run.

One of the wrong ideas about people who are color “blind” is that they see life like a black and movie. Such a condition is very rare. Most people who are color “blind” are actually color deficient with specific colors. Almost everyone can tell the difference between the colors at a traffic light. People who are color deficient might find it impossible to sort a basket of socks that were varying shades of brown. People with normal color vision would find the task unpleasant but the colors easy to distinguish. Just about any color vision test could prove whether she is color blind. There are elements to the tests that would distinguish between a color vision deficient person doing her best and a color vision normal person deliberately giving wrong answers. Hope this helps
