Im fifteen years old, on the honor roll and i play basketball,softball, and volleyball. Im also president of my sophomore class and captain of the basketball team. But that doesn’t matter to my dad! He still says, ” When you’re eighteen and an adult thats when you can get it done.” I just need some help convincing him that im mature and responsible enough to get my belly done.

I wouldn’t do it because you never know ,you could get infected. I think your dad is correct on this.

I think there are two clues to conclude what to do.

First, how do we tell who is mature from who is immature.
I think it difficult for anybody to see who is already mature enough from who is not yet.
Because no one has obvious criteria to judge or the way to separate who knows better or not.
We may say the same to the case of you and your father.

It’s true you do well with your school life and your school life is so much for you now
But I hope you become aware it’s not all of you, in addition, just a part of you at present and in the future.
While you might say you have lived as long as 15 years, others might say you have at most 15 years yet.

I think who know well enough or not should be judged in larger world.
You have’t reached yet where you claim you’re already now in the point.

Second, who should pay the money.
You are not old enough to pay the bill of your care if you get wounded in case of mistreatment of piercing.
If you fine a lawsuit, will you be old enough to prepare the cost at the time?

I’m sorry but I’m not for your side and I can’t support you.
But I hope you will understand what I mean if you have enough wisdom as you told.
