: How to tell your mom that you want to start removing your upper lip hair?
Okay, so my mom is really against hair removal minus the legs and under arms. I really want to get rid of my upper lip hair, because I have some. I’m 16 years old and I think I’m old enough to make this decision for myself, considering it’s my own body. I know she will notice if I do it and bring it up and possibly be mad. I’d feel better if she knew before I did anything.

PS: I find it really awkward to talk to my mom about anything personal.

girl just say look mom look at your lip and look at mine (if she has a hairy upper lip) and say you want better for me well let me get rid of this stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t feel awkward to talk to your mom. Thats what moms are for. Just tell/ask her. And everyone has a little hair on their upper lip. It’s just peach fuzz.

you could bleach it instead. Sally Hansen makes a bleach for your face. if the hair on your face is blonde its less noticeable

Get it waxed professionally, be prepared it hurts. As for your mum, it’s your body isn’t it? There for your decision. It’s obviously something your self conscious about and she should be able to understand.
