lala: How do i convince my dad to get a chihuahua?
My dad asks questions like who will take care of it when were away? and its too much work because you have to walk it everyday and you have to take it out to go to the bathroom. I give him all good answers and he still says no.(my neighbor takes care of my other friends dog when they go away, i would walk it, he wouldnt do anything i no, and the breeder i would get it from litterboxtrains them) every time i try to answer him he just ignores me.how do i get him to have an open mind?

dad makes the rules. Sorry, when you are 18 and have your own place, then you can get a dog.
You sound like an older teen to me.. dogs are a 12-20 year commitment. dad is probably also considering that in a few years you will be graduating and possibly moving out and going to college.. you will have a hard time finding an affordable place where you can keep a dog… between work and school, you will also probably be too busy to care for a dog. He probably doesnt want to be stuck taking care of the dog.
