pb335: What words of encouragement can I say to a teenager who is new in school?
My friend’s daughter, who I am really close to, recently moved with her family and will be attending new school next week. She is 11 years of age and very anxious about meeting new friends. I want to write her a card and say some encouraging words but I am clueless on what to say to a teenager and how to make her feel better. Do you have any suggestions?

well she’s only eleven, so it shouldn’t be too bad for her. but i would say things like good luck in school and do your best. I’m sure you’ll make plenty of new friends, and like your teachers. uhm, maybe there’s more things to do there so you could bring one of those things up? something like that.
I would suggest telling her that in the world there is always someone special (friend) that will be there for you and although getting used to a new environment can be difficult if you have patience you will find new friends. also maybe like you have your own light, a light that sparkles like a star making you special and making the people around you happy it will be easy for you to find friends. Maybe it will help, thats all I can think of.Answer by ymaksa
I would wish her well and tell her to take advantage of all her new school as to offer.. photography club, plays, sports, afterschool activities or what ever- It is a great way to meet new kids!!!
She is not really a teenager (not 11-teen).. this age is call Tween ( kind of like between)
Answer by mcal03051She’s 11, not really a teenager yet…the reason being, she’s not in highschool, maybe Junior high. I’d tell her to really be herself, don’t sell herself short…ever….and enjoy being in school, it doesn’t last.
