survival of the species, if the species dont want to reproduce, then they cant survive can they.

Well, think about it. A human that develops a strong attachment to their sexual partner is much more likely to care for that partner, and for offspring with that partner, making it much more likely that said offspring survive.
“Is there a reason why nature did not leave this part out?”
The process of natural selection isn’t conscious! Nature doesn’t INTEND anything.
“Love and sex is different.”
They may not be exactly the same thing, but they’re definitely related, aren’t they?
