Rudy P: Where does a bride usually stay as she prepares for the wedding ceremony? Where does she hide?
I’m writing a piece of fiction and I would like to know. Where does a bride usually stay to hide herself from the groom and emerge with her father before a typical church wedding begins?
Thanks so much.

At Mothers house where pictures are to be taken (her getting ready) or within the church (a secluded room) or at the hotel where they will be staying for the night after the wedding….Best wishes!
at her parents home or in a hotel roomAnswer by Anita S
The church gives her a room to get ready in. A lot of brides get a hotel room near the church. If the ceremony is at a hotel they usually include a suite in the package.Answer by Sunny

In a church – the bride is often allowed in the minister’s study/library to get ready/hide out. Churches can be different – one friend of mine got a Sunday School Room since it had access to a bigger row of bathrooms and she had her attendents all with her.Answer by HIS!
Larger churches might have a “Bridal Suite” that is connected to the ladies restroom. Smaller churches probably allow the bride to use a room near the restroom, and the groom and his attendants a room on the other side of the building. Basically, the photographer’s assistant keeps them apart by telling the groom that the bride is having photos taken, and the groom needs to stay in his room until further notice. Then the bride can return to her room and the groom is out taking photos.Answer by Gretchen K
It totally depends on the venue(s) and the location of the wedding.
Often, a bride and her BMs, if she has them, will get ready in a room within the ceremony venue — whether that is in a church, or in a different kind of venue. Just any room or space that is closed off and that the groom won’t go wandering in.
Others will get ready in a hotel room — for example, in the room the BMs stayed in.
If the wedding is in her hometown, the bride might get ready at her own house, her family’s house, her friend’s house, etc.
Of course, some brides and grooms don’t hide from each other and just get ready in the same area.
