When i start my computer, a wizard appears and says “found new hardware” although i haven’t added any.

Anand: When i start my computer, a wizard appears and says “found new hardware” although i haven’t added any.
I have drivers for all the devices on my machine.
I have tried to end root process of this(rundll32.exe) using task manager.
I want to get rid of it.

Any help??

there’s nothing wrong with run32.dll running..I guess its your printer or keyboard or mouse…try using HiJackIt (a program to check you running processes)

Right click on my computer icon
manage
device manager
if there’s anything in here that expanded then it’s not properly working
also click on the event viewer
look for anything thats an error or warning and read the description (by double clicking the line)
this may give you an idea what it is

Did you install a printer from a CD? If so, let the computer go ahead and reinstall it to stop it.

What has happened is you installed an item or plugged it in (such as a web cam) and you used the program disc or just ran the item without using the “Found New Hardware” wizard. Now the computer insists that you have not installed the item and is nagging you.
Have you tried going through the wizard anyway, to at least identify what it is being ornery about?
Another thing to try is: right click on My Computer and select Properties. Open the Hardware TAB, click the Device Manage button. If there is anything with issues or missing drivers in the Computer’s point of view, this will open showing the listing of your computer’s parts and drivers…BUT it will also show the item that is out of sync by highlighting it with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Fix the issue and it will probably stop the wizard…
I would run the wizard through to see what it is upset about first. Sandra

then it could the reason that you have uninstalled any drivers from the system.. try this

right click on my comouter goto properties.. then hardware tab.. then device manager..if there are an y exclamatory mark..then try to find out the device and install any missing drievrs
