thesoundofwhite: How do you connect a desktop computer to a wireless router?
I currently have one desktop computer connected to the internet via a broadband router and a wireless router is connected to that. If I wanted to connect another desktop to the internet using the wireless how would I go about doing that?
I have looked into the USB wireless thingy, is that what I want? Will that allow the desktop to be connect to the internet?

The desktop needs a wireless network card (USB or other), any computer store sells them.
yes, since you allready have a wireless router, you can get the usb wireless thingy. You could also get an ethernet cable and connect the desktop to one of the open ports on the router you currently have. they usually have 4 ports. If the new desktop will be too far away then go with the usb sireless thingy
here is one that should work

Yes, you would need a USB wireless thingy, or they make cards you can install inside the computer that do the same thing as the “thingy”Answer by round the corner
you need to install a usb wireless card receiverAnswer by André M
You have 2 options:
1. an internal wireless card
2. a usb wireless stick
option 1 is more complicated because you have to open your computer. option 2 is basically plug & play after you’ve installed the drive/software.
make sure you secure your wireless network with a strong encryption.
usb wireless adaptor is the easy way you could also fit a wireless card in the pc.Answer by J9
A wireless usb toggle will allow that computer to connect to the wireless signal being delivered by your wireless router, as long as the router has an active connection. Most are simple and easy to use. Or you can just plug another ehternet cable into it.
If you are using the wireless toggle, you may need to enter a wireless password (known as the WEP key) if your wireless router has one. Some come with a password, some do not.
I would personally go with the USB wireless toggle, they’re pretty cheap these days.
