You may have heard the phrase said before “I love you, but im not in love with you” If you love someone it means just that. You love them. The way you would a family memeber, friend, or anyone you care about. When you are in love with someone, you love them in a romantic way. This is how you should love a person you intend to marry and spend the rest of your life with.

Answer by peach
you love your daddy, brother, friend, cousins, uncles, etc

you’re in love with your boyfriend…it’s essentially still caring for them in the same way but for different reasons and you’re attracted to your bf and you’re not attracted to family…so ya that’s it i guess
filial love is for family, and then you just say i love you
romantic love is like im in love with you sort of thing

you can love who a person is by their personality and how nice they are. like you care about them on a friendship level some would say that i love that person. but being in love is a deep deep connection that is more than just caring, it is a need to be with that person for the rest of your life.

loving someone is truly wanting what is best for THEM. you hope THEY are happy. you genuinely care about THEIR wellbeing. (selfless feeling)

Being in love is usually facilitated by infatuation/attraction. YOU want them to be happy with YOU. YOU want to spend time with them. YOU want them to want to spend time with you…YOU feel comfortable around them or attracted to them… Your feelings for them…YOU feel in love (selfish feeling)

Loving some one is a “forever” thing, being in love is a short term thing…

Generally, being in love doesn’t last, but is initially what leads to truly loving someone…which is a long-term feeling.

For example, someone can be divorced or split up because they aren’t IN love with each other but they can still have love for each other. Does this make any sense? I am confusing myself…

When you say “loving” someone it means you care, cherish or adore them in a friendly manner or as a very good friend.

Now, when you say “in love someone” it means you have deep emotions for that person sexually, physically, emotionally and mentally..they become more that a loving person, she or he connects with your iamge of a person.

hope this helps and oh..don’t feel worried if your not sure wich one your feeling…ALOT of people have trouble figuring this out…..

i think that when you love someone its like loving your pet, parents, friends, or anyone like that.

when youre in love, means that you love someone in a similar way but you have a bond with them thats personal and just between you and him. you love them for different reasons, and choose for them to be your boyfriend / husband because of that bond you have with them.

hope that helps.

i love my best friend…she means the world to me…i would put her life before my own…i would give up my dreams so that hers could come true..i LOVE her

but i am not in love with her…because then i would be lesbian…not saying that there is anything wrong with that…but i love my friend with all my heart…but i am not in love with her…it’s more of a sisterly love

Answer by Julius S
Being in love with someone is truly wanting what is best for them. Their personal happiness comes above all else. Being in love is the deep understanding of that person and sex is part of the greater understanding of the other person. Being in love can be a timeless attachment that never leaves you. You know you are in love when you are without that person and you can think of no one else but that person

Loving someone can be anything from having warm feelings for someone to having a one night stand to how you feel about your family and friends. You love your children and you will always love your children, but will never have the same feeling about your children that you have for the person that you are in love with.

Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure (“I loved that meal”) to intense interpersonal attraction (“I love my girlfriend”). This diversity of meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.

As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

Loving someone means caring for them, worrying about them, wondering about them,
examples:
you care about what they think, what they do, how they’re doing, what they’re doing, and how they feel about you.

being IN LOVE means you never take your mind off of them. they are the only person you see when others are around. you only truly want to be with them. you feel like they are there for you even if the whole world has turned on you. you are comfortable with them and never think they will say a bad thing about you. you know when you’re in love. trust me.
