Michaela: What Bible verses should i send my mom in Afghanistan?
I am sending a Bible to my mom in Afghanistan. She is a nurse deployed over there. I miss her a lot and shes been very sad and lonely and just down. She needs strength and i know she can get that through Gods word. So i am sending her a Bible to read and i have a few specific verses i want her to see; a few proverbs and others. Any suggestions on some more?

Don’t. Instead you should write a good letter, and include a picture of you and your family with a sign that says “we love you” But it’s up to you.Answer by Elijah Truth

Chapter 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Well, always good for a laugh is II Kings 2:23-24
“And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.”
Sorry, I just always loved that one.
