Jyoti M: What problems do you have understanding geometry?
I am doing a project on the problems students have with understanding geometry. So please share.

discovery or and honors program?

Discovery students seem to miss the idea that the theorem apply outside of the single shape they have drawn.

students that start with theory seem to fail at applying it beyound just the class material.

Both sets of students just need to do lot of example problems. I find that having students speak is the best way to find where they are week. If a student and explain a concept then they most likely understand it. If they cannot then they most likely need to spend more time learning the topic.

I’m sorry, but this material came so easy to me the 10 years ago that I took it that i struggle to understand why others do get it. It is one of my sort comings.
