Concept-wise, geometry is harder than algebra.
But that depends on you, if you’re an equations student then it’ll be hard.
But if you’re a visual person, then geometry should be a little easier, after all it is just about 2-d shapes and 3-d figures.
Answer by mark pThe difference in difficulty is based on how your mind works.
Since you say you struggled in Algebra 1, you might be a visual person. Therefore, hypothetically, you will do better in Geometry.
It mainly has to do with how you were taught when you were in elementary school…
I took both last year, and I found Geometry more fun, since there were less equations. If you find it more fun, you will most likely do better.
Answer by hazydaisyI always sucked at algebra. I passed, but with C’s. When I got to Geometry, I passed with straight A’s and I even Aced the final. So it actually came pretty easy to me.Answer by zanti3
As another poster has suggested, algebra is abstract while geometry involves more spatial reasoning. If you are more “right-brained”, you’ll probably find geometry is easier. One clue would be if you are strong musically. Also, being left-handed might help (seriously).Answer by Jsmn
Geometry is easy as long as you study and know your theorems and formulas. Everything builds on what you previously learn. I loved geometry, but I love math in general.
