Answer by Angiee โ˜ฎ
i know you said local drugstore but you need this..

bare minerals.
it works amazing and it will be great for you since you havent used makeup that will ruin your skin.

other than that..
you need a pink eye shadow pallet (any brand)
and a eye liner and marcara.

dont forget lip gloss.

good luck! make up is so much fun.
look on youtube for how to put makeup on.
it has so many videos for it.

black waterproof eyeliner and mascara. The best things are your eyes and this make them stand out and make them look so pretty. Use anything from Maybelline they are the best !

Um I’m kinda like U new to this like a couple mounts ago

ok I went to Walgreens (drug store)
and bout some> Covergirl CLEAR mascara
its extremely natural looking, brings out your eyes, and is unoticible when U cry (well its clear)

Eyeshadow i’d get a very nuetrul color or like a pale pink, badge, blue, or green, or violet… maybeline has good stuff (found at Target and Walgreens, + CBS pharmcy)
* tip: for eyeshadow, put on a layer of chapstick on eyelids, then the eyeshadow STICKS ON ALL DAY! I prefer though clairs eye shadow sets, sold at clairs

eyeline:? srry dunno, i dont own any lol

lipgloss: U can usually find that anywhere

For blush: unsure

MOST STUFF THOugh is sold at walgreens>

U welcome!

well your 16 so your skin in beautiful already even if you have a few pimples lol so all you need is some pretty color eyeshadows (any brand except physicians formula cause it runs with rain or sweat), an eyelash curler, mascara (maybelline in the yellow tube is good for length and adds volume) tasty lip gloss (bon bons at walmart are cheap and taste delicious) and maybe black eyeliner only cause its in (again maybelline because it doesnt smear like most others). as for coverage, just focus on products that reve up your natural beauty and make you naturally glow. (any kind of peels, or vitaimins, healthy natural stuff)

I would go with Revlon Colorstay as your foundation. If you want a better quality go with something from Clinique, they’re amazing.
Powder wise, I LOVE and I mean LOVE Maybelline’s Dream Matte powder, it is my holy grail and I will never use anything else to set my make up.
Look around the make up isles and look for nice neutral quads to make a smokey eye, they go with any kind of eye color, skin color, etc. I use Covergirl’s triple thing and one of the colors is Shimmering sands and I’ve hit pan on those like 5 times.
Almay makes a great mascara called One Coat too!

I’m 16 too, and I don’t wear much makeup, but I think that looks the prettiest ๐Ÿ™‚
Here’s what I wear. Most of it can be found at drugstores, and for cheap too.

FOUNDATION – None. We have young, healthy, skin…no reason to coat it with something we don’t need!

POWDER – Physician’s Formula powder in “Translucent.” Makes my complexion perfect without having it seem like I even have anything on.

CONCEALER – any brand will work. Only use it when you have something you have to cover up, like a zit.

BLUSH – I use Cheekstain “Tarte,” but that’s not found in drugstores and can be pricey. Any blush will work, though. Just put on a little, starting at your cheekbone to the apples of your cheeks. Somedays I don’t even put it on, it’s for mostly when I’m going out.

MASCARA – Maybelline’s “Define-A-Lash” (green tube). Works sooooo well! No clumps, and it really lengthens. Use this just on your top lashes. Curl them first, and put on a couple coats. Coat the bottom lashes only if you’re going out.

LINER – Almay eye liner in black. It’s the only stuff that doesn’t smudge for me. Don’t use it everyday to school, just when you’re going out. And when you do use, coat your bottom lashes with mascara.

LIPS – Any clear lip gloss is great for everyday school look. If you’re going out or theres some special occasion, look into red or pink lipsticks/lipglosses. Any brand is fine ๐Ÿ™‚

Good luckkkkk! I’m sure whichever brands you choose will look great ๐Ÿ™‚

You can never go wrong with Ecotools for brushes. In a test i did on my friend Madison, by Ecotools brushes were softer than my cousins MAC brushes.

As for makeup, use a lightweight non-comedegenic foundation, non-comedegenic means it won’t clog your pores, therefore, you won’t get pimples. I use Covergirl clan makeup.

When purchasing eyeshadow, try to always get a palette so you can create a more dramatic look, while saving money.

I may be a young teen, but I know a thing or two about makeup.

Please feel free to e-mail me to ask questions about makeup.

Good Luck!

dont buy mac unless theres something really specific u wanna get or ur like rich bcuz it is really expensive and u shuld start with drugstore brands for a beginner. okkkkk sooo…..

main things u need:

eyeliner(definitly is a must!): i dont really know a good eyeliner im trying to find one rite now but my suggestion to you wuld be to NOT get a pencil eyeliner becuz they are really annoying to keep sharpening and the color usually doesnt come out to good unless u scrape really hard against ur eye

mascara: i realllly like the great lash maybelline mascara (green and pink tube) it really works great!

eyeshadow: any kind will do just get the color or colors that u want and that work with your skin tone

foundation: maybelline superstay 24 hour makeup

powder: maybelline dream matte powder

blush: maybelline expert wear blush

i know lol i wear a LOT of maybelline but most of there products do work really good so check out there website to see some of there other stuff tooo bcuz all of thaat stuff u can buy at drugstores

hey lovely
im 15 and work in a pharmacy so i know product knowledge quite well.

Basics in makeup is foundation, mascara and eyeliner. Then once you get comfortable with wearing makeup, you may like to extend to blush & eyeshadow etc. honestly, with foundation, it depends what you like to wear, weather it be, a powder, compact or liquid. and also depends on what amount of coverage you want to achieve. (also you may require concealer if you have very noticable flaws that show)

for foundation; i recommend to customers our age:
Loreal mineral foundation; costs around $ 32.
it gives GREAT coverage and also looks natural and feels light on your skin. gives your skin a flawless look ! this will cover any pimples/scars/pigmentation

for mascara, depends on the look you want with your lashes;
i myself use, ‘loreal telescopic mascara’. it costs between $ 15 – $ 20
makes your lashes appear more full and longer. curls them quite nicely (:
ohh & use a waterproof one !

for eyeliner; again, use waterproof.
eyeliner comes in liquid, pencil, or wind up.
in my opinion, liquid eyeliner is shit ! dont use it. lol.
either wind up or pencil is good. umm eyeliner is eyeliner, they all work them same in my opinion however some are nicer to apply than others.

and then if you wanna add abit of lip glloss or whatever, thats always nice to finish it off.!

Tip – if you have access to ‘priceline’.. theres a brand called ‘savyy’.. (this brand is excusive to priceline).. you will find makeup in that range is very cheap ! (:

Good Luck with it !! ๐Ÿ™‚ xo
