jcgonzmo: What happens to a puppy that does not meet the requeriments of a breeder?
People have a holistic view of reputable breeders an a equal antagonic view of BYB. However, I would like to know what happens to a puppy that does not meet the requirements of its littermates. Also, what happen to the puppies that do comply with the requirements.
PD: I dont know what happen to the dogs, I am not a BYB. I just want to know what happens to suited and not suited litter mates.

They get sold. No one has never said they don’t. they get sold as PETS, with no breeding rights and depending on the breeder they also come with contracts outlining the penalties for each instance of breeding that occurs.
Pups who fit the standard/breeder’s requirements? that depends. some may be sold as work/show/breeding potentials to other people – established breeding programs or those learning and being mentored. some are kept by the breeder on the possibility of being added to the breeding program as adults. Some are even fixed and sold as pets.
Depends entirely on the breeder.
Either way ALL pups still come with the same guarantees as far as health goes and contracts not only for the good of the pup and the breeder but also the owner as well.
