How can I spend Christmas with my horse?

CHOCOLATE LUVER 🙂: How can I spend Christmas with my horse?
Well, hopefully I’ll have my horse by then. I saw a cute Santa Hat that hangs on a horses ear, and that my be an option as well. Can you think of any gifts that would be on a horse’s wish list?

I would not buy the hat, not nice for the horse. I used to give my horse extra treats on Xmas, that’s what always made her day. Apples, Carrots, a few extra oats, etc.

there are all kinds of neat things you could do. Jt International has fleece halter covers that are red with white trim and have little bells on them, they have santa hats like you are talking about , splint boot covers that are red with the white “fur trim” and even quarter and half sheets that are red with white trim. As for gifts if I were a horse I’d wnat extra treats ,, maybe a new halter and lead that match and have my name embriodered on the cheeks:) there are several good treats out there , galloping gorumet , ginger ridge snacks , manna ro snacks , apple waffers , hoof snax…etc etc. maybe a week off of riding hahahaha lol anyway I hope you can get a horse by then. I have a Santa hat for my horse. I always take a Christmas picture with my horses and put the santa hat on one, and I have a red halter with little santa’s and reindeer on it that I got at a local tack shop, with a red lead.

Like other people have said, treats! Every year my grandma makes ginger cookies, and alters the recipe for the horses. (Adds molasses, takes out a few things that would be bad for the horse…)

I always made like a stocking and hung it on my horses stalls. and than on christmas my friends and i would fill it up. I also would put wreaths on their stall doors that my friend would make. Like everyone said treats, maybe a day off. i wouldn’t buy the hat until you know for sure that your horse won’t spook at it. i hope i helped!!!!!

Treats blankets all good. THe horse doesnt know it is Christmas. THe hat is great for parades my daughter and hubby go in the christmas parades and I have made special christmas costumes for them
