hey_you: What do the Easter bunny, colored eggs have to do with Jesus?
I don’t understand how they fit? Isn’t Easter the day Jesus rose from the dead? What does a bunny have to do with that? Will someone please explain? Thank you in advance.

Yes and no. The fact is celebrations of life and rebirth were celebrated in Pagan Europe for thousands of years before jesus’ religion took off. After Constantine used christianity to re-unify the Roman Empire, jesus’ Easter was pasted over these holidays as they had similar themes, in an attempt to ease the forced conversion of Europeans to christianity. The Easter bunny and eggs were fertility symbols that managed to hang on in European cultures and have spread to all countries that celebrate easter today.
