Where is the easter grass caught? If it’s around the brush of an upright vacuum, remove the brush and pull or cut off the grass from the roller. Reach up inside the chute from the underside of the vacuum to the bag and fish out what you can from there, too.
If it’s a canister type vacuum and stuff is stuck in the hose, I’ve been known to drag out the shop vac and join the shop vac hose to the canister hose with a piece of duct tape. Turn on the shop vac and most of the time, the material in the canister vacuum’s hose is removed. Sometimes it helps to cover most of the other end of the canister’s hose for more suction.
Or you can use a drain snake or an electrician’s fish tape to snag the clog and remove it.
Answer by adam/pennywith it unplugged, turn it over and remove the bottom plate so you can reach the Easter grass and pull it out.
have an attachment hose, try to blow air backwards through the hole that allows the dirt to reach the basket.
for that you either need a second vacuum, or plug this one in.
watch out for a dust storm if it works.
