What are regents exams and when do you take them?

Yury Y: What are regents exams and when do you take them?
I am currently in gr.10 and am moving to NYC this summer. Personally (from what i read), I don’t quite understand the need for regent exams in the first place. Now if i understand correctly you take them in gr.12?

Regents exams are prepared by the New York State Board of Regents who govern education in the state. You take some during your junior year and some during your senior year if you are receiving a regents diploma. If you choose a non-regents track then you do not need to take them, though they are considered to be a pre-college track.

they are state exams. Theyre so easy. Theyre in early to mid june. dont worry.they are easy. u take them every year
