Mark: How can I stay awake during the exam?
I have a midterm exam at 8 am today. Problem is that I’m used to a different time zone – I work at night and sleep in the day – so my exam conflicts with my sleeping schedule.
How can I stay awake during the exam? Will coffee work? It’s a Math exam, if that helps.

try an energy drink,coffee will only help for awhile as will anything else you try…so make sure you take it with you or chug right befor..you just need enough to get through the exam and back home to knock out :]Answer by SEXYHAITIAN-GIRL

you need to give importance to your studies.try to think that this is exam is extremely important(most are)and that if you mess up you’ll be screwed! This has worked for me.Keep telling yourself that you cant sleep! I am not lying! It’s the power of the mind!Wonder why most people are so scared at night?cause they tell their brains to be afraid!!!!so tell yourslef to be awake!
…same thing happens when you are thinking back of a stomach ache….you suddenly get it again.

I got a unique answer and we nearly have the same problem but usually I don’t feel sleepy when its exam day, I usually feel sleepy in lectures.
In taking the exam, be prepared so at least you will be awake and if you are struggling in school, please quit your job or if you can’t depend on your parents, just try to balance your studies and work. What I do is I work and study and to keep myself awake, I bend my fingers one by one or press the middle of my palm really hard until it hurts. Just remember eventhough you need to keep your job, studies are more important so that you can prevent dying of earning only minimum wage and that is my mind set all the time.
