0bjectiv3: How do you average your final exam and course average together when your exam is worth 20%?
My English average for the year is a 98.
I got a 79 on the exam (Very sad, I know)
If the exam counts 20% of my final grade (98), what is my average?
Please explain how you got the number, and formula.
Thanks!

98 * 80% + 79 * 20% =
78.4 + 15.8 = 94.2
94.2 is your final grade.
If you want to do this with your other grades, you can also do this.
[Year average * 4 + exam grade] / 500 = final average
98 * 4 = 392 + 79 = 471 / 5 = 94.2Answer by Taylor
.2x(.79) + .8x(.98)= .942 so 94.2% for your final grade
