Tattoo artists?

VLR: Tattoo artists?
I am ok at drawing but I usually just trace it off my computer and I’m not good at shading but i am good at tracing, Do you have to be an awsome drawer to be a tattooer?
if i were to mess up like yoji on miami ink! he’s cool though but kat is way better.

Yes, because tattoo’s are permanent so if you were to mess up on some1 they’d be really pissed.

Yes. Anyone can trace something, but an artist is just that, an artist. They add to it and make it something more than a tracing. Dimension and shading are key to a good artist. Also an eye for color.

A tattoo artist is a person who puts your ideas onto skin.
A tattooer duplicates a tattoo design from flash provided, maybe with a little modification.
Both requires a sense of depth which is reflected by the quality and sense of shading or coloring.
