consultantcool: Ramadan – After intercourse, Do i need to take bath at 4am before I start the next day fast?
I understand that you can have intercourse with your wife during the night time. Do I need to take bath at 4:00am inorder to start my next day fast.
Or
Is it OK to have intercourse at night… wash your private part… go to sleep .. get up at 4am… eat food… start the next day fast at 4:00am and take bath at 7:00am… go to work
The issue is I don’t want to take bath at 4:00am?

you can begin your fast while in an impure state, so you can delay your bath. you didn’t mention fajr though. obviously, you do have to take a bath before salah.
EDIT: Ok, i got thumbed down. i’d like to know why. I already knew this, but since I got thumbed down, I went to research it to bring proof. Here it is:
Imam Nawawi mentioned that there is scholarly consensus (ijma`) that the fast of one who wakes up requiring ghusl is valid.
EDIT: Here is more proof:
“The fast of one who has intercourse with his wife at night and wakes up in the morning in a state of junub is still valid, as is the fast of one who becomes junub in his sleep, whether at night or during the day. There is nothing wrong with delaying ghusl until just before dawn. Rather fasting is invalidated by having intercourse during the day in Ramadaan, from just before dawn until after sunset. ”

Peace be on to you,
Praise to be God who allowed the Ummah of Muhammad for some blessings because before Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) time (Moses, Jesus etc) People used to fast for whole day & weren’t allowed to go for their wives for whole month.
Well it’s good if you take bath (Ghusal). Otherwise cleaning the private part is fine & do ablution (Wadhu) is more perfect! But the best thing is do whole bath (Ghusal) until Sehri.
Thanks,
Hope I answered!
You shouldn’t sleep after having intercourse as the prophet (sas) said to do at least wodoa like before praying or to take shower. But to be in the safe side take the shower and it is not that hard , you wash your penis and then do wodoa then let the water flow all over your body like the prophet was doing and that’s it.Answer by The Nomad Think Tank
atleast before fajr salat.Answer by GitDoun
u must take a bath / ghusl after sex. it’s a must. —my water bill is so high!Answer by Abu Thaabit
you can start fasting without bathing but you must bath (ghusl) before you pray fajr (which is only 30-45 mins difference anyway) and you dont seem to have prayer in your schedule, prayer precedes fasting as a pillar in islam, if you dont pray, why bother bathing or fasting at all !
and you dont have to have a bath straight after intercourse, fear Allah people who say that, and learn before you speak.
Answer by BatmanSalam to fast no, to pray yes.
its best you shower after intercourse always inshAllah many hadiths about this do some research instead of asking this place in Sahih Bukari or Muslim inshAllah
take that time to do that reading yoiu will find you will never have to ask another human anything else. Study the deen or you will find yourself lsot in the most basic of things and that is basic question and basic answer also for it.
Answer by NajmoonstarWhether you are fasting or not but you must have a bath.
It doesn’t matter what excuse you use and before fajar you must take bath otherwise your fast wont be valid.
If you don’t want to do bath at 4.00am then have sex early then bath or no sex at all.
My Opinion have a bath Straight away so you wont feel lazy.
The islamic Sharia is have bath Straight away after Sexual intercourse.
Some people made it up that you wash your private parts and go to sleep
Because once a Sexual intercourse has taken place you are not pure anymore and to become pure is to have a Bath.
Because Imagine if you die in a sleep in the circumstances that you haven’t had a Bath. Then the grave wont accept you
This is the truth and there are no bargaining with Islam and no excuse will be allowed in the grave and the day of Judgment fear Allah at all times.
u can take bath after sehri after intercourse we should wash our private part and make wudhu after that u can sleep but a muslim pray fazr slah so he take bath before morning salah u can make bath after
sun rising if u dont pray fazr salahAnswer by Amani
yes you must shower before fajr. everything including your hair. if you dont wanna take a bath at 4am dont have intercourse the night before OR take a bath immediately after intercourse at night.Answer by Sungura mjanja
U don’t need 2 take bath for commencing fast but u have 2 bath before fajr adhan and pray ur salaat. U can wash ur privates and do woudhu before sleeping.
Ur fast does not reach Allah without salaat.
@Najmunstar
From where did u get that grave will not accept u if u die in a state of junoob? Don’t u know that the dead r always given a ghusl?Answer by siti_adni
The answer is:
You should take bath anytime BEFORE YOU PRAY SUBUH.
Husband and wife can do intercourse during the night until the time they not start fasting. It means, if the Subuh prayer is set at 6.00 am, you still can have sex at 5.45, but it is risky as it may ended after Subuh prayer.
Being ‘janabah’ (the time we called after having intercourse but not bath yet) is not breaking the fasting. DOING INTERCOURSE DURING FASTING is broken our fasting and eligible for the ‘DENDA’/fidyah (that is we should fasting 30days CONTINUOUSLY. SO DON’T HAVE SEX DURING FASTING.
But still you should do Subuh prayer, so thats why you need to take bath as if not you cannot pray. What is the meaning of fasting without praying.
EDITTED:
I have seen a lot of people tend to give answers ‘sukati diorang je’. If you not sure, you should do research first and do not be ‘menegakkan benang yang basah’. If you realised your answer is incorrect please correct them or else it may give misunderstanding to others as what has happen to you.
You’re married, and you do not even know how to deal with this issue? Thought your dad gave you a lesson or two.
The problem is laziness. You’ve got to take a shower and clean yourself, if you really care about hygiene and hope you also changed bedsheets and pillow cases!

Yes you can fast, not only you take a bath, you have to make ghusl, if you do not make ghusl your salah is invalidated. So please please please make ghusl
Here is a link on how to do sohttps://www.inter-islam.org/Actions/Part4.html
and
You can have sehri and then take a bath. As long as you do it before praying fajr cos you cant pray until you have taken a bath.
