Before the ’40s & ’50s doctors & anatomists (all men!) were convinced there was no useful function for the clitoris (just like the tonsils, adenoids & appendix). When women in large numbers learned how to masturbate to orgasm they discovered the source of the pleasure. But is that all? I don’t think so.

As far as we know, the only function for the clitoris is pleasure.
