farmergyrl23: Planning a suprise party for my father, how do I get him out of the house for the morning?
I’m planning a 50th suprise picnic for my father at our house and everyone is invited already but the only problem is I’m at a lack of ideas for getting him out of the house…Does any one have any ideas? Thanks!

Tell him your going to take him out for breakfast but take him to your house.Answer by Helga
send him golfing for the morning. Say it is his birthday present. Or fishing, or have him take your car in for the oil change, etc. Send him on mindless errands if all else fails.
Another option is to enlish a family member to help get him out of the house.

Yeah, definitely enlist one of his friends. They could offer breakfast or coffee, then say “Oh, can we stop by this bookstore before we go back? Oooh, do you mind if I look at that pair of shoes quick? Oh, I forgot that I need to stop by the post office for stamps, it’ll only take a minute or two. I should really fill up the tank quick, OMG I think I forgot to lock the door/forgot my debit card! And isn’t it a nice day out? What are you planning on doing for your birthday?”
I take it you want to be in charge of the set-up, food, etc…, so see if one of his best friends can help out. Can’t do everything at once! 🙂

Go into town, and then ring him, telling him you may have a present for someone with a birthday coming up. Eg. Mum, brother, sister, grandparent etc.
