this is the weirdest thing… I am scheduled to have Breast augementation in 3 weeks. My bf and I have been living together for 3 yrs and I have a 5 yr old son froma previouse relationship. I am happy with hima nd our relationship is solid. However………he is really feelin low about me having “breast implants” hes happy for me because ive always wanted them and saved my money for them…but now that its getting closer…he is actually having nightmares about em leaving him or cheating on him every night…and he keeps askign me everyday if im going to levae him…..His friends are all telling him that when a girl gets a major surgery like that to improve her self that she usually leaves the one she is with….i just ignore them and think they are jelouse of him…..he has everything and and hes a great guy. We have plans on getting married someday……….why would such a confident established guy have such doubts about somthing soo dumb?

talk to him and let him know that you would never leave him.

He’s spending too much time listening to his friends, instead of trusting in y’alls realtionship. Time will ease his fears, but until then he’s likely to run you crazy with his insecurities. He definitely needs to work on getting over that.

I don’t think it’s such a dumb thing to be concerned with. I do think it’s a bit silly how he’s approaching the issue, though.

You could start by sitting him down and explaining exactly WHY you want augmentation surgery (which, conspicuously, you have omitted). With luck, it has everything to do with your own body confidence, and nothing to do with how attractive you appear to men in general.

If you do this, perhaps he might reveal any deeper issues he has with this decision; he could be hiding his fears and he might be more comfortable opening up about them if you open up about your motivations for this operation.

I never heard that a girl usually leaves a guy when she gets major surgery; ask his friends what their source is for this information.
