Jo: Islam…….?
I am about to convert to Islam religion because her parents are demanding it.I agreed but i now im thinking whether i should ask them if i can keep my religion and idol in the house.Should i ask them this or will they have me killed as they are quite strict.She is pretty staunch as well but is scared of her parents.What do u guys think?
I am not a muslim but they are asking me to be one.Some people seem to be confused

a Muslim girl must marry a Muslim guy….but you must be sure about converting to Islam…don’t convert cause you love her…suppose the love is gone then what?

Religion is a very personal matter. If you are not happy converting to Islam and your soon to be wife is not happy about you maintaining your current religion perhaps you should both reconsider the idea of marriage. What your soon to be in-laws want is irregardless, this is between you and your wife. If you are “forced” to convert and don’t really want to do so for your own reasons you will NOT be happy about it the day you convert, let alone 5 years down the road. If she can not accept who you are (other religion and all) then perhaps it’s not really meant to be. Sorry to sound negative, but I’ve been there. Also, think about how you feel when your first child is born and she demands to raise him/her muslim while you want to at least introduce them to whatever your religion is and if she forbids it. There is so much personal identity wrapped up in religion that even the non-religious suddenly are when their beliefs are questioned/forced to be changed.

you will not be considered a muslim if you don’t really want to. and not to insult your religion or anything, but think about this. idols are made of peoples own manufacture and it breaks. Can’t a god help himself? If this idol can’t protect itself then how can it protect you? let me give you some facts about islam so you understand. if you don’t want to convert DON’T.
the facts of islam are:
#1: It is a religion that believes in feeding th poor and hungry.
#2: All the things that are written in koran a long time ago, are happening in the present day.
#3: Sure there are many rules to islam and it’s hard to follow it all, but if you ask for forgiveness allah(god) will forgive you. he LOVES to forgive. from his 99 names his name is the forgiver. if people didn’t make mistakes then why would he be called that.
#4: He is only one god and he doesn’t need a son or daughter to take over the throne, because he has surely created the earth and all living things.
#5: there is a day of judgement and the day of judgement is the day where people will counted for their deeds. we all will have to cross a bridge as thin as a hair to get to heaven. it depends on your deeds of whether you are supposed to go.
#6: islam is a religion of peace and it says to only fight when fought with, but only in war.
#6: it is sinful to commit suicide like the bombers, because they will be in hell for eternity.
#7: islam has a huge respect for women. allah(god) made women wear hijab(head scarf) so that they could be treated with respect. People who wear revealing clothes don’t get any respect from men.
#8: You must pray five times a day to be muslim. Don’t worry because when you pray it makes you feel stress free and pure.
#9: all of makkah a long time ago, at the time of the prophet mohammed PBUH worshipped idols too. the prophet had told them that these idols were multiples, and if they were so powerful they wouldn’t need many helpers, or any helpers at all. then the idol worshippers converted to islam after taking some time to think about this.
p.s. think about this for a second. if you want to learn more about islam go to a mosque or check out library books.if you convert i assure you, you will be very happy. but don’t convert if you don’t want to because you’ll be creating a burden on yourself and you won’t be considered a true muslim. if you want to know more feel free to send me a message asking questions. may peace be with you<3

According to islam a man (not a muslim) cannot marry a muslim lady. Therefore my advice to you is that you see what islam is like, if you dont then dont become one. You should only change religion if you want to not becasue you are forced to. Islam prohibits anyone forcing someone to become a muslim.

Islam means peace. It is to acquire peace by submitting our will to Almighty God. All the teachings of Islam is to establish a peaceful society & for the well being for humanity.
There is no compulsion in Islam religion but if you want to marry a muslim girl then it is a condition for you to be a muslim. As she or he can’t get marry to a non muslim.

convert cause you love God. dont make a muslim girl marry a non-muslim man. the parents WILL NOT kill you if they are real muslims… i encourage you to do so but dont do it cause someone is forcing you. you have to do it in the name of God

Islam is amazing, but don’t say you are muslim just to get married. Do your research and it will answer any questions you have, it makes a lot of sense. As a non-muslim, you can go to thedeenshow.com and learn about it and it will be compared and contrasted to christianity to give you a short, brief understanding. My fiance converted to islam and loves it, he taught me more than I ever knew.

her parents are not demanding or forcing you,it is their culture,their culture and religion demand it.it’s not their fault.
they are honest with you and have given you choice,they dont care about your current religion as long as you are not seeking marital involvoment with them.But if you and only you choose to get inlaws with them,then they have to comform to a religion they believe in and that religion demands that a muslim lady should only marry a muslim man (the religion demands her and her parents to do so,not you).
What Islam DEMANDS from you(note this is for you,this time) is that if ever you want to convert it should be out of your own conviction and self-satisfaction;that it will not be acceptable from you if you do it for other materialistic or desire reasons.
Sadly,you sound to play games and make believe.you plan to be a fake convert for the sake of marriage,then after marriage,you want to show them your real skin and now you are trying to portray them as killers.

You are not the first or last one to convert.Many people convert everyday from one religion to the other even within one religion.
Islam includes christianity and all other religions because to be muslim you have to believe in Abraham,moses,Jesus,Muhammad.

read about islam from reliable trueth speaking sources and i am sure you will convert by your own will.. an advice start reading the koran and they wont kill you lol
