Chris: Is it worth coveriong your sport bike in your insurance or is it best to just cover liability?
Covering your own bike literally triples the yearly rate, as in, your paying more for insurance than the actual bike. Is it really worth covering or should i just suffer my losses. Thanks to all and any veteran riders out their for opinion.

If it is an older bike, 5 or more years, I would only cover liability. If it is a new bike, like the one I have now, I put full coverage on it because those plastic coverings are expensive.
You might want to shop around for insurance because full coverage only adds about $ 200 a year for my 1100 cc bike (note: my insurance company, State Farm, goes by the size of the motor only, not the type of bike).

you’ll save in the long run, unless you wreck the bike right away…
(that’s what I did, of course my bike only cost me $ 5500, and full coverage is $ 2000/yr vs. liability at $ 550/yr it was a no brainer)
I have quite a few speeding tix on my record, too
