Is it rude to put where the bride is registered on the bridal shower invitation?

UNCCHgirl: Is it rude to put where the bride is registered on the bridal shower invitation?
I just cant answer my phone all the time because I work 2 jobs and if people call to RSVP they could leave a message but if they want to know where the bride is registered I have no way of telling them really… So is it rude?

Not at all. It is really common to do that. Almost every single wedding shower has had that on the invitation. That is why people register.

No. You may include registry information on the Bridal Shower invitation.

The rule is “Never mention gifts on the invitation.” The one exception to this rule is the Shower. This is because the entire purpose behind a shower is gift-giving, or as some would say, “to shower the guest-of-honor with gifts.”

Therefore, a bridal shower and a baby shower are the only parties where one may mention gifts on the face of the invitation itself.

It is absolutely alright to include a small card with the invitation giving the retail stores where the bride and groom are registered. It is not rude by any means and actually people appreciate having this information in hand with the invitation. Go for it!

No, that is where it would go. The point of a shower is to buy and bring a gift.
