Sarasometimes: Can a bride wear more makeup than she usually does?
A friend is getting married soon and she asked me if it would be appropriate for her to haver a more made up look for her wedding. She isn’t real good at doing her eyes so she usually keeps them simple. Since she is having her makeup done she would like to wear a bolder eye. Is smoky OK? Is this unusual for a bride? She is fair-skinned, links would be a plus. I would like to advise her on this. Thanks?

If she would like more make up and it makes her feel more confident then sure 🙂 its her special day and she should get all prettied up for it. Smoky eyes would look good, but its hard to say when we don’t know what she looks like 🙂 hope this helps
Hi.
I’m always very cautious when brides say they want something different if they normally do not wear a lot of make up because they may regret it when they get the pictures back.
If she’s a girl who doesn’t really do a lot to her eyes then turning up with a dark smokey eye may be a bit of a shock as make up can drastically change how you look.
I would recommend to do natural with definition make up, so light colour on the lid and a brown in the socket/crease.
For foundation I would use a slight yellow toned foundation as flash photography can pick up the red/pink tones in your skin, so the yellow will reduce that.
Answer by ツstacey☮if she wants to wear a diffrent makeup style then she usually and that would make her feel more confident then shore every bride deserves to look Pretty on there big day =) most women when there getting married go for the natural look and they wear a bit more foundation and concealer then they usually would to cover up more but it doesn’t look like they have packed it on it looks all natural and prettyAnswer by Lamby
if she doesnt normally doesnt wear alot of makeup thenshe doesnt need to wear more than normal. go for a natural but enhanced look. that will help bring out her features in a soft pretty way. If she wants to wear more, a smokey eye would be nice with a light or nude lipcolor. Have her go to a makeup counter to do a test shot with a makeup artisit so there is no surprise on her wedding day.Answer by tooinvolved1
She can definitely go more made up than usual. But I’d avoid the smoky look unless it’s *very* soft, maybe in brown but not black
