Answer by Christopher JChristianity is built off Judaism, Islam is built off both of them. I would say that Islam is the most different in the way that it has so many weird rules, and that it approves of _defensive_ war. Islam is the ‘newest’, it was created somewhere around 600AD. I’m not muslim, so I can’t answer the last question.Answer by CJ
The truth is that Jesus is God. But Islam rejects this truth, therefore Islam has a different and fake “god” that cannot save anyone or prevent anyone from being sent to hell. Islam leads to eternal hell.Answer by dren
I”m a Muslim.
Some ways we are different from Jew’s and Christians.
1 We believe that GOD is one(not 3gods in one)
2 We believe in ALL the prophets
(jews don’t accept Jesus and christians don’t accept muhammad)
3 We pray 5 times a day
4 Our holy day is FRIDAY…TGIF(thank God its friday)
5 We believe that every man/women is responsible for his or her actions, no man(jesus or whomeever) will take your sins and be punished instead of you. also you DON’T inherit what your father or mother have done.
there are many more differences between Muslims Christians and Jews.
Message me if you want to know more.
To become a Muslim.
the easiest, there is no need to go anywere, no need to get baptized etc etc you just SIMPLY say this
“I believe that there is no god but ALLAH(God) and that Muhammad(pbuh) is the final messenger of God.”
and you are a Muslim.
Answer by Layla NoorJUDAISM
– has no ‘devil’, the Jewish ‘satan’ is just an ordinary angel, under G-d’s control. Angels do not have free will, therefore cannot fall.
CHRISTIANITY
– describes ‘satan’ as a devil and ‘fallen’ angel.
ISLAM
– djinn ‘devils’ were created separately from humans and like humans have free will, some are Muslim, some are not. They are not residents of Hell. Shaitan is a rebel djinn, but not an angel. Angels do not have free will.
JUDAISM
– the ‘messiah’ will be a normal, mortal man who must fulfill all the Jewish messianic prophecies in one normal, mortal lifetime
CHRISTIANITY
– Jesus was the ‘messiah’ and will fulfill the prophecies when he ‘returns’
ISLAM
– a Messiah is a messenger, all prophets, including Jesus, were Messiahs, but they are all human.
JUDAISM
– says that the righteous of ALL faiths will reach ‘gan eden’ or ‘garden of eden’.
CHRISTIANITY
– *some* Christians insist that only those who ‘know Christ’ can reach heaven
ISLAM
– Whoever believes in God and the Last Days and does right will be rewarded by Allah.
JUDAISM
– forbids Jews from trying to convert anyone to Judaism
CHRISTIANITY
– believes in actively ‘witnessing’ and encouraging people to convert to Christianity
ISLAM
– believes in actively ‘witnessing’ and encouraging people to convert to Islam
JUDAISM
– says that no man gets a ‘second coming’
CHRISTIANITY
– says that Jesus will have a ‘second coming’
ISLAM
– Most say Jesus will return, still human, to lead Islam. It’s not a second coming because he never died.
JUDAISM
– says that every human should speak directly to G-d
CHRISTIANITY
– Jesus claims in the ‘new testament’ that the ‘only way’ to G-d is via him
ISLAM
– every human should pray directly to Allah
JUDAISM
– says G-d is one, indivisible, cannot be separated into three aspects/incarnations
CHRISTIANITY
– speaks of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
ISLAM
– says Allah is one, indivisible, cannot be separated into three aspects/incarnations
JUDAISM
– says that we are ALL equally G-d’s children
CHRISTIANITY
– says that Jesus was ‘god’s son’ above all others
ISLAM
– Jesus was servant of Allah, as every person is. Allah has no children or wife.
JUDAISM
– has no concept of ‘hell’
CHRISTIANITY
– *some* Christians believe all non believers to ‘hell’
ISLAM
– has a ‘hell’, but not because someone is merely non-Muslim
JUDAISM
– says that no human can ever die for the sins of others
CHRISTIANITY
– says that Jesus died for the sins of mankind
ISLAM
– Jesus is a human prophet that didn’t die. No one can die for someone else’s sin.
JUDAISM
– says that all humans are born pure, and innocent
CHRISTIANITY
– says that all humans are born with ‘original sin’.
ISLAM
– says that all humans are born pure, and innocent
JUDAISM

All you have to do to convert is to believe that there is no god but God and that Mohammed is the messenger of Allah.
If you go to whyislam.org they have a toll free number you can call.
Islam is different in the west in terms of its multiculturalism. If you go to a church or a synagogue, everyone is the same race pretty much. If you go to a mosque, it’s a true American melting pot with every race.
Answer by Mr. ProdigyAccording to Islam, everyone is born a Muslim, therefore you can revert to Islam. The steps are as followed:
For a Muslim, every action begins with your intention. Quietly, to yourself, make the intention to embrace Islam as your faith.
Say the following words with clarity of intention, firm faith and belief:
Say: “Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill Allah.” (I bear witness that there is no diety but Allah.)
Say: “Wa ash-hadu ana Muhammad ar-rasullallah.” (And I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.)
Take a shower, symbolically cleansing yourself of your past life.
Learn how to pray and practice Islam in your daily life.
Continue to learn, study, and grow in your new faith.
Your past sins are also forgiven.
Answer by himan275conversion: any one can consider themselves a believer of a religion, but whether others of that religion accept that person is questionable. an insightful conversation that portrays knowledge of the religion is all one really needs.
the only difference in islam and the bible (both old, jewish, and new, christian, testament) is the doctrines and the strict combination of secular and spiritual life. what most people don’t know is that muslims actually identify with and beleive in moses, abraham, jesus; the whole nine yards. they just believe that muhammad was the next prophet of god.
as for the specific differences of doctrines, i can not help you with.
Answer by Eric MThey believe in Mohammad, a human man who raped his 12 year old cousin.
Jews believe only in the first five books of the old testament (this is a good thing because it contains Gods laws), and Jesus was just a prophet.
Christians take God’s word of who the Lord Jesus is! God’s sacrifice for our sins and resurrection so we may have life!Answer by dg
I wont go into detail outlining every little detail in which they differ from judaism and christianity. Rather I will speak of the differences in their idea of God.
With christianity.
They dont accept Jesus as God. They see him as the messiah and the prophet, but not as God. (There are many christians who do not follow the notion of Jesus being God)
With judaism.
No major difference in ideology. In fact, they share with Judaism, their concept of God being “one”.
Another major difference is that between the three, only Islam recognizes the other two as “people of the book”.
Christians only recognizes Judaism as a legitimate religion.
Judaism recognizes neither Islam nor christianity.
islam protects u from danger, and the first thing to convert is to go to a mosque and read the quran and start praying and wear a hijab, then u get into studying islam after u got the basics like me, im just starting to get into depth of islam, and the diference between islam, judaism, and christianity is that islam is the most strictAnswer by יונתן
hmm well Jesus returns but not as the all saving messiah
They believe in only 4 angels versus all listed in Torah
The end times differs….
Answer by MoeZThere is a lot of ignorant answers, ignore them. You can tell which are ignorant.
Anyway, the main difference between Islam and the other 2 religions is that Islam accepts all prophets of the old and New Testimate, Jesus was a man, and has the exact same story as the Jesus in the new testimate, except that he is not God, he is man with God’s message, and before he was captured to be cruxified and tortured, someone else (I think Judas) was made to look exactly like Jesus, and Jesus was taken up to heaven by God, where he remains until the day of judgement.
The other major difference is that Islam has suggestions and rules for almost every aspect of life. It may seem extremely strict, but it’s mostly major issues of life.
Converting is very easy. At worst, you say a like in arabic that translates to “There is no God but God, and Muhammad is his prophet”. I think you can just start calling yourself Muslim. I don’t think there is really a process.
If you have any questions, I’d be glad to answer. I’m majoring in Islamic history, and plan on studying the Quran.
Answer by Sincere-AdvisorIn one sentence: Islam is pure monotheism [God is indivisible, unlike anything we know] and favors equal spiritual opportunity for all without regard to race, culture or national origin.Answer by Yankee D
Noor is accurate in several things, but is wrong in two major issues.
1. Christians believe there is but one GOD, but since we are made in HIS image and since we are 3 parts, Body, Soul(or mind if you prefer) and Spirit, then so too GOD is Triune, still one but three if you will.
2. But the major difference is that Christianity is the only religion in the world that understands that GOD is so far above us in Holiness and Purity that there is absolutely nothing which we can ever do to make ourselves right with GOD. Never, never can our “good works” be anything but filthy rags (the actual Greek in the New Testament which is translated into the English of “filthy rags” is actually menstrual rags just to give you an idea. So, since we can never reach up to a HOLY GOD, he reached down and sacrificed HIS only SON, (part of HIMSELF) to pay a price we cannot pay. So, we don’t Work our way to Heaven, we inherit it as adopted sons of the Living GOD.
3. If you are really seeking truth about this, then I suggest the source link to
No mercy towards unbelievers. No mercy towards their enemies. Muslim teach that infidels (unbelievers) must be killed.
But Our Lord, the One True God in three Divine Persons has taught us:
“Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness?”
“And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you; going forth from thence, shake off the dust from your feet for a testimony to them.”
“But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you:
“But I say to you, that to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: and from him that hath not, even that which he hath, shall be taken from him. But as for those my enemies, who would not have me reign over them, bring them hither, and kill them before me.”
So God commands us to have mercy towards our enemies and not to associate with unbelievers, however God makes it clear that His enemies, those who refuse to have Him reign in their hearts, will be killed, and what little they have in this life He shall also be take away.
Take a look at these unbelieving nations, India, Pakistan, parts of Africa, look at what little they have…even that shall be taken away.
Answer by SamThey have more similarities than differences.Answer by arch0049
Well, are you assuming that Judaism and Christianity are similar. Because, Islam is more like Christianity than Judaism is.
Islam believes Muhammed was the last Prophet, where Christianity preaches it is Jesus.
Answer by zuhairi1994Not many difference in those 3 religions…. they are only different on the fact that they believe that Jesus is not a God, Ishmael was the one that Abraham have to sacrifice instead of Isaac, Muhammad is their last prophet, and The Koran was the last revelation from God…. They believe on the same God thought, just different prophets…… They are also different in the ways they pray……Answer by samra s
Islam is very similar to Judaism and Christianity…but I would say it is much more purer. All things unhealthy and impure are prohibited in Islam..namely: Alcohol, immodesty, adultery (to perform adultery, even looking at immoral things is impure), the prophet Muhammad, forbade us to even do vile, unnecessary talk. Also, Islam requires a muslim to pray 5 times daily, without fail..to purify the soul (that’s what I just finished doing). Islam is more than a religion..its a way of life, you need to constantly think which is right and which is wrong, and please Allah at all times. Keeping in mind the Hereafter as your final abode, a place of eternal happiness.
Islam requires a muslim to perform Hajj, and makes charity obligatory for people who can afford more that the necessities of life.
Islam is a simple religion, no glamour, just simplicity.
Islam, also required a person to believe that Jesus (pbuh) is the prophet of God; one must believe Prophet Muhammad to be the last and the final prophet. Finally, one must believe in the Day of Resurrection and the Judgment day.
Like someone above mentioned..Islam shows that all people are muslims at birth..when they are sinless..so in order to convert to Islam all you have to do is testify in the oneness of God and the prophet hood with the presence of 1 or 2 witnesses. Usually people who converted went to a nearby Mosque and testified.
All you have to say is “Ash hadu an Laa illaaha illalla (I testify that there is no God but Allah)” “Wa ash hadu anna Muhammadur rasulllulah” (And that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).
And then do take a bath.
You are purified and sinless..just like a newborn baby!

Few quotes from the Islamic holy books, the rest is yours to dig and research:
Quran:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”
Quran:9:29 “Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission.”
Quran:8:39 “Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah.”
Quran:8:39 “So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world).”
Quran:9:123 “Fight the unbelievers around you, and let them find harshness in you.”
Quran:8:12 “I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle.”
Quran:8:67 “It is not fitting for any prophet to have prisoners until he has made a great slaughter in the land.”
Quran:7:3 “Little do you remember My warning. How many towns have We destroyed as a raid by night? Our punishment took them suddenly while they slept for their afternoon rest. Our terror came to them; Our punishment overtook them.”
Quran:8:7 “Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: ‘Wipe the infidels out to the last.'”
Quran:8:71 “He will give you mastery over them [non-Muslims].”
Quran 33:51 “You may have whomever you desire; there is no blame.”

Tabari I:280 “Allah said, ‘It is My obligation to make Eve bleed once every month as she made this tree bleed. I must also make Eve stupid, although I created her intelligent.’ Because Allah afflicted Eve, all of the women of this world menstruate and are stupid.”
Ishaq:374 “The black troops and slaves of the Meccans cried out and the Muslims replied, ‘Allah destroy your sight, you impious rascals.'”
Quran 2:61 “Humiliation and wretchedness were stamped on the Jews and they were visited with Allah’s wrath.”
Ishaq:250 “The bestial transformation occurred when Allah turned Jews into apes, despised.”
Quran 5:17 “Verily they are disbelievers and infidels who say, ‘The Messiah, son of Mary, is God.'”
Quran 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends. They are but friends and protectors to each other.”

Answer by tirdad_555Well in so many ways of course for example: Islam does not believe in trinity.
Converting is not that hard but first you must believe in three things
1- Believe in only one God
2-Believe in Prophet Mohammad as the god’s messenger
3-Believing in Judgment dayAnswer by Pathan King
Jews doesn’t believe in Jesus as a Prophet.
Christians doesn’t believe Muhammad as a Prophet.
Muslims believe both Jesus and Moses as Prophets of Allah.
Jews believe that Moses will forgive their sins for them on the day of judjement, and whatever sins they commit on earth, they will not be punished for them.
Christians believe that Jesus will forgive their sins for them, and they will not be punished in any way, as Jesus has sacrificed for them.
Muslims belief is that every person, whether muslim or non muslim, will be punished for the crimes that he did against other humans. But, Allah may forgive His rights if He wants, Allah’s rights are like to pray five times a day , to fast during one of the islamic month “Ramzan”, , but Allah will not forgive the rights of other Human beings for anyone, as it’s against equality, and Allah is so just, it is against His nature.
According to Christian version, every christian will go to heaven unpunished, whatever he does, as he is a christian, and Jesus has already sacrificed for christians.
There is no such concept in Islam.
Jews believe that Aziz (pbuh) was the son of God,
Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God,
Muslims belief is that Allah begets, nor is He begotten.
No one is a Muslim, if he doesn’t accept Jesus or Moses as Prophets, and doesn’t respect them along with other Prophets like David, Abraham etc.
CONVERSION TO ISLAM :
Compulsary :
Every person becomes a Muslim, if he testifies that “there is no god/deity but Allah, and Prophet Muhammad is his messenger”.
Other :
Allah is one, He begets, nor is He begotten.
One should follow the teachings of Quran, and belief in its truth, and shouldn’t reject a single verse of it, else he will not be a Muslim.
One should accept all the messengers ,and respect them. Respecting or accepting some as messengers of Allah, and not the others is not allowed, and such person is not a Muslim.
And that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the last messenger of Allah.
The intention must be pure.
HERE THE SPACE IS NOT ENOUGH , SO I CAN’T REPLY TO THE MISCONCEPTIONS THAT SOME N ON MUSLIM FRIENDS HAVE POSTED IN THIS TOPIC. I HOPE I WILL FIND THEIR SAME POSTINGS SOMEWHERE ELSE.
