☁ fmyLife ☂: If a job ad tells you to, “come prepared for an on spot interview” when applying in person….?
How should you dress? And would you bring your resume, even if it’s a Sales Associate job at a department store, and you’re filling out an application there?
Thanks in advance?

Dress business casual. No resume but have your working papers if under age 18, social security card and photo ID
Job applications are frequently gruelling – how should you fill them in? Should you chase them up when there is no reply? I suppose there’s no true answer but the resource in the box below has some really awesome guidance about this. It certainly helped me when I was filling in job applications recently, also they have other stuff on job searching.Answer by weirdiscomplimentary
I would wear interview clothes (slacks and a nice shirt and tie for men……skirt and a nice top for women…..closed-toed dress shoes for either) and bring your resume.Answer by Let me steer you
The better prepared you are, the more likely you are to get a job. Take your resume if you have one. Dress for the job ABOVE the one you’re applying for. Go to the department store beforehand and see how the sales associates are dressed.
Some places like Target and WalMart have required dress, but genuine “department” stores do not. Dress like the best dressed person you see when you visit.
An on the spot interview doesn’t mean you’ll be hired on the spot, so don’t worry about the social security card UNLESS you can’t find it. You definitely need a government-issued ID and an original social security card before they will hire you.
