Miranda: I am trying to help my brother plan a wedding in Las Vegas where should we start?
My brother and his finacee want a small cost efficient wedding and think that Vegas is the way to go for them. No we just need a starting place. Any ideas?

They can purchase their marriage license and be married right there, for very cost efficient. Otherwise after they purchase the marriage license, they can go to a myriad of places. Check out www.lasvegasnow.com which is a local TV link web site for everything.

I have found the majority of independent marriage chapels just as expensive as those associated with a casino, with one marriage at the independent every ten to fifteen minutes. All chapels try and sell you a video and audio records (expensive), rent you a dress or flowers (real or plastic). Those are things you can save by having a friend take pictures, bring your own clothing, etc.

Many casinos, which are definitely hurting with the economy, have great package deals that includes the room/s and the wedding chapel. I would check into Excalbur (castle) or Venetian/Palazzo.

I have seen wedding parties at several casino buffets, cheap and effective celebration but you have to schedule it ahead of time. Vegas is very flexible!

You can take virtual tours of chapels and look at restaurants for the reception. We got married last September at the Little Chaple of the west www.littlechurch.com and we thought this better than any of the other chapels we saw its just up form Mandalay Bay. We then had our reception in a priavte room at Maggiano’s Little Italy and that was good value and included a cake from Freeds !! All in all it was the best day of my life by a mile and I hope that my experience can help another person/people to be this happy
