Bob R: How to not let the bad breath interfere in our kissing?
Do you know any person who never emits bad breath? I mean, it is very difficult to keep your breath always fresh. But how can we make sure that our kissing needs are not disturbed due to bad breath. I know, oral hygiene is most important, but can you give me some tips how we can keep our breath fresh most of the time.

Oral hygiene is sometimes underrated. Tongue scrapers, flossing and thorough brushing will remove residues of food which gather bacteria (which smell). Mouth wash and sprays are just a temporary solution.
Personally I smoke, i drink coffee and my breath is sort of a devils spawn sometimes. I take a “fishermans friend” before kissing. Try it.

Brush teeth & toung, Floss after each meal, Wash with mouth wash. Drink enough water & tea. once in a while clean up your stomach with some herbal tea.
Have fresh Peppermint, Basil, Parsly with your food. You can have cinamon with your tea, coffee or ice cream that would help.Answer by Noemi V
in addition to good oral hygiene, my secret to keeping my breath fresh always is drinking lots of water. whenever i eat or drink something, i make sure i follow it with a few sips of water (not soda or juice!) and try to swallow everything in my mouth (sort of washing it down). i even drink water after drinking coffee! this is very important because most of the time, we don’t have any access to a toothbrush or mouthwash right after we eat. i also do not smoke.Answer by dahab12345
Before kissing please do not have strong flavoured foods such as meats, onions and garlics etc.. Before kissing u can have mints like polo, wrigleys mint or any mint. To always keep mouth fresh,brush twice.once after getting up in the morning and once before sleeping at night.Answer by Hollie B

To get rid of bad breath on the spot, try:
Keep your mouth moist. Bad breath is often related to dry mouth.
Drink water and ask for lemon to be included. Surreptitiously squeeze as much of the lemon into the water as possible, as it will help cover up the odor.
Chew a piece of gum or eat some mint candy. (Gum will freshen your breath longer than candy and has fewer calories if you are monitoring your intake.) This will help stimulate your mouth to produce saliva.
Ask for a dish that comes accompanied by ginger, basil, mint leaves or parsley. Chew on any of these for instant refreshment. Excuse yourself and visit the bathroom to check for flecks of herb on your teeth.
Order a Waldorf salad and request additional apple. Apples freshen and remove any pieces of stuck food in your teeth that may be causing the stale breath.
Use salt (it’ll be sitting on the table), if you can take it without raising suspicious glances. As an alternative, leave for the bathroom and ask the waiter to kindly bring you a little bit of salt for medicinal purposes. Gargle it to neutralize some of the odor. It is more effective if combined with baking soda.
If you like whiskey and it befits the occasion, have a glass. Whiskey will help kill the germs on teeth causing smells and will mask the bad odor in small amounts. Don’t overdo it though – besides creating a bad impression, breath worsens the more alcohol consumed.
Sneak a spoon into the bathroom. Check to make sure you’re alone. Look into the mirror, stick out your tongue and check for a pasty white goo on it. Turn the spoon upside down and use it to scrape your tongue, using a back to front motion. Try to relax or you will gag. Rinse your mouth and the spoon and sneak it back to the table.
If you can’t manage to sneak off with a spoon, head to the restroom, wash your hands, use your fingernails to scrape your tongue, then wash hands a second time to get rid of the foul-smelling goo.
Rinse your mouth with water. Then use dry paper towel to rub each of your teeth. You can also use the inside of your shirt. This will make your teeth super smooth, like you just brushed your teeth. Then rinse your mouth again. If you have the rough brown type of paper towel, you can rub it on your tongue outwards and get some plaque coating off.
But to PREVENT bad breath:
Brush your teeth and scrape your tongue first thing every morning, and also after each time you take a nap. Foul-smelling bacteria have had a chance to take over your mouth while you slept, and are most likely causing yucky “morning breath.” Tongue scrapers can be found in most health food stores, and also in drug stores and convenience stores as they become more popular.
After you brush your teeth and scrape your tongue, rinse your mouth thoroughly and gargle with fresh, cool water. This is a very important step, one that many people overlook. Nobody likes to smell your breath when it’s laden with dirty, used toothpaste scum.
After completing steps 2 and 3, make sure you drink a significant amount of water, and avoid eating or drinking anything else for at least 30 minutes. This completes the cleansing process of your mouth, throat, esophagus, and stomach, which is extremely important for fresh breath after you sleep.
Avoid foods such as garlic, onions, sugary foods, meats, fish, poultry, and eggs. All of these foods are notorious for causing bad breath. Fresh fruits and vegetables actually help to cleanse your entire system, and the result is improved breath. Leafy green vegetables, in particular, are well-known for assisting the body in maintaining fresh breath. Try chewing fresh peppermint, spearmint, parsley, or basil instead of gum.
After you eat or drink anything (besides water), thoroughly rinse your mouth and gargle with water. Use this practice without fail, day and night, and you will keep abreast of nasty bacteria buildup in your mouth, which cause bad breath. Run your tongue along the surfaces of your teeth throughout the day, and if you ever notice any plaque buildup, brush your teeth again and rinse thoroughly with water, making sure that you feel your teeth, not plaque buildup, which is a contributing factor in bad breath.
Drink plenty of fresh water every day, but try to avoid drinking water too close to meal times, as it can decrease your digestive capacity. Keeping your body properly hydrated assists in its own natural cleansing processes, and can help tackle bad breath.
Any time you notice that you have bad breath, rinse your mouth with water. If this doesn’t work, then brush your teeth again. You may also need to scrape your tongue again. Always finish by rinsing with plenty of cool water.
The use of chewing gum, mouthwash, and candy are not adequate solutions for dealing with bad breath, as they do not address the root cause, which is improper hygiene. In fact, these substances can complicate hygiene issues if left in the mouth for a significant amount of time. Leafy green vegetables, lemons, and limes are much better cover-ups in emergencies when your toothbrush is not at hand. Always remember to rinse thoroughly with water after each application of these miraculous breath-fresheners!
The tongue scraper is essential, and so is flossing before going to bed. You can also use a mouthwash with peroxide if you have forgotten flossing for a couple of days.
Forget about chewing gums, taking mints, sprays, etc.. nobody wants to kiss a mint!
