Fred: How to dress for a “casual” interview?
I have a job interview coming up and it is for a upcoming internet company. The ad makes a point of stressing how casual the work environment is and that “it’ perfectly fine to dress casual for the interview”. I’ve always thought that you couldn’t overdress for an interview, but a friend said that I should be dressed according to the job. It is for a mail room position. I have a couple of western shirts that I was considering wearing, but would a standard button up, tie and slacks be the safest bet? Any help would be appreciated.

Dress work casual, kakies and polo shirt.
Well it says casual, but it’s still a job interview, so maybe a button up dress shirt and black dress pants/slacks? I think that wouldn’t scream overdressed or too casual.Answer by Dave Barrett
button-up, tie & slacks, at a minimum. you’ll also need some kind of coat.
if anyone says anything, you tell them that you thought it best to treat them with respect for the interview.
Answer by Freestyle4uGO WITH THE DOCKERS OR SLACKS, CLEAN BLUE OR WHITE SHIRT AND CASUAL PAIR OF SHOES! BE WELL GROOMED (BRUSH TEETH, CLEAN SHAVE, TRIM MUSTACHE & HAIR). EVEN IF IT’S A MAILROOM POSITION, YOU WANT TO MAKE A GOOD 1ST IMPRESSION! LOOK THEM IN THE EYES, WHEN THEY’RE TALKING TO YOU AND YOU SHOULD BE OKAY!Answer by TINY TONY HIDE THE PONY
blue jeans and a top with enouth room to not make you look too sexy. you know when your body is printing out through your clothes? not good! so leave some room in there
also dont wear too much jewelery make up and avoid bright colors.

A standard button up, tie and slacks would be the most appropriate.Answer by 1234
dude, never ever EVER wear a tie without a blazer. u will look like a car salesman. u can wear a casual blazer, trousers and a shirt with first button undone. or u can wear a shirt and trousers WITHOUT tie
