🙂: First Job Interview!!!!! (need helpful answers and tips!)?
I don’t have a resume, never had a job or a job interview! I am looking to get a part time job to become just a little more self dependent, which also includes making my own money. I am a very hard worker, but am very unfamiliar to the whole “nailing the job interview”.
I am looking at a position as a summer sales associate at Anchor Blue. I was hoping if anyone could give me some helpful tips on nailing the interview as far as answering question and presence.
***Also.. what was your first job interview like?
Did you nail it?
Was is easier than you expected it to be? Or maybe more difficult?

mine was a dishwasher at a restaurant i was nervous but i just answered his questions and got the job but I’ve had other interviews and it just depends on the person that interviews they all go about it differently i never know what to expect when i got to one
Be confident, be ready to ask at least one or two questions, never ask how much the job pays. but do ask about the projected schedule etc. when it comes to nailing a sales position the #1 thing to remember is if you cant ell yourself how are you going to sell the product? Oh and since you have never had any experience in the market before kinda play that up as an opportunity for the store to hire an associate that hasnt picked up any bad work habits a previous spots and a opportunity for the store to train you to be exactly what they are looking for 😉 GOOD LUCKAnswer by Adam
I’m still on my first job at a fast food joint. Basically you’ll get ask a few questions, just think about the questions you think they might ask you. If they ask you something and you don’t know it, TRY and come up with it. I cracked a few jokes throughout, and be friendly, dress nicely. If you convince the person to like you, you’ll probably get the job.Answer by Oya A
Here are a few tips that will help in having a successful interview..Answer by Searcher
I did not nail my first few interviews. Primarily because I did not know the right things to do.
Unfortunately, you may want a resume put together, because it can hurt your job chances without one.
What you want to focus on during the interview is not what you want. Instead, focus on ways that you can help the company. For instance, if they are looking for a person who will be there every time they schedule you to work, what can you say to reassure them of this (not just to get the job, but sincerely how you will ensure you will be there every day). Also, look in the mirror at your outfit that you are wearing. Does it show that you are professional, well groomed and not in a way that either detracts or distracts from the image of the store.
You want to demonstrate that you listen well, that you can think through what you want to say, and that you are capable of learning the job easily.
All of these things they will be looking for when the interview you. And you will be evaluated from the time you arrive in the parking lot, until you leave the parking lot. .
Answer by Oldwhiteguy2earthEmployers are looking for people who are likable, friendly, outgoing, alert, dependable and intelligent. Show up early for the interview, dress well, smile, lean forward, admit that you like to work because it makes the time go faster, and let it be known that you are almost never sick, and that’s as good as you can do.Answer by Georganna V
They will ask you questions like why do you want to work here? A good answer is you think its a good company that will be around for years to come, that you can grow with. (shows that you are looking to the long term).
Another is what do you think you can bring to our company? Answer I like being around people and I am good at helping others. Why should we hire you over the next person? Answer, I am a quick learner and I will show up to work when I am scheduled.
What if you saw one of your friends or anyone else stealing a piece of gum (or something that does not cost a lot, what would you do? Answer, that is called shop lifting and I would have them arrested. (If you let someone steal a piece of gum you will let them steal almost anything…thats what the employer thinks). Always act unless told by a superior not to.
No matter what question they ask you remember, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. You will never scream or yell at a customer. You will always treat any customer with the utmost respect. If you feel you need help you will get someone.
Make sure you are well groomed, don’t wear dirty tenna shoes to the interview. Don’t dress like your going to a party or school, but nice shirt, best pair of jeans or dress pants, clean socks.
Remember, they had to interview for their job, they are looking for someone who is going to be dependable and who will learn fast. Everyone needs time to catch on and they realize that. They want someone who will show up when scheduled, and do their best.
My first job interview was 35 plus years ago, for a Nurses Aid in a Nursing Home – awful job – yes I got it, did the best I could do at 14, but hated it. They treated those old people like cattle and no one was allowed to be nice to any one person. I have had jobs I hated and jobs I have loved. You take something from each and it betters you, not only as an employee but as a person.
Good Luck.

Here are some possible interview questions that may be asked to you during a job interview:
• your weakness and strength
• Tell us about yourself (another common question)
• previous jobs
• your likes and dislikes
• your interaction with a team work
They will also try to assess your behavior, interests and your way of thinking
