Isaac: How to do I stop sharing Desktop Icons with all users on Windows XP?
My computer has two users on it. When I’m on my user account and add a desktop icon to my desktop, it appears on the other user’s desktop as well. When it gets deleted from the other user’s desktop, it disappears off of mine! How do I stop sharing desktop icons with other users, meaning they only appear on my desktop and not another user’s?
By the way, my account is password protected, just in case that’s important.

Assuming you have 2 separate accounts then they only way you would share icon’s is if they are put into the all users desktop space.
Check c:\documents and settings\all users\desktop to see if it is there. To be non-shared it needs to be in c:\documents and settings\
