What does microsoft do to your xbox 360 when it has the red ring of death and you send it in under warranty?

i got a replacement plan with gamestop to replace my RRoD 360 but I can only do it once. If it happens again, i will have to send it to microsoft. Should I wait when the 360 with falcon motherboard to be on the market, or return it and if it breaks again send it in to microsoft?

You call up Microsoft and they will send you a “coffin” or box that you can place your 360 in. They send you back another 360 console. Takes a couple weeks to a month usually and a lot of people think they just send you a refurbished 360. I don’t think they fix yours or give you a new one. They take another broken one and fix it up so that it is playable. Usually people get the RROD again when they send it in to Microsoft. If you can help it I would recommend not sending it into Microsoft.
