xoxo_Mrs.Nelson_xoxo: How to cover my tattoo for work?
I have a tattoo behind my ear and have to leave my hair up at work. We cannot have tattoos and regular concealer isnt working. You can still see the tattoo and its a huge mess!
Does anyone know anything else I could use?
Thanks everyone for answering!
Unfortunately I cant use a bandaid to cover it. Its very small but they specifically said no bandaids. : /
And my hair HAS to be pulled up all the way because its a restaraunt.

band-aid? different concealer? different hair style ?
There’s some stuff called Derma Blend that you can find at Macy’s, maybe even online. It’s super thick and is made to hide tattoos and birthmarks. And I don’t think it will sweat off if you work in a hot environment, or rub off. It’s kinda pricey, like maybe $ 30 or so, but it will last you forever. Call all of the makeup counters at mall department stores and they should tell you if they carry it, and they will give you a sample to see which color is best for you. I had to use it for a wedding to cover up tats, and it works.Answer by Francesca
you could just put a bandaid over it, maybe change your hair. keep it up, but just make a part of it cover the tattoo. you could also put like some kind of head band or hair clip or something that might cover it. or you could jsut try using other make. i have a tattoo on my wrist and the make up i use covers it up pretty well.i just use cover girl fondation. you can get it at walmart/target/walgreens (any drug store)
this website will tell you how to cover a tattoo with make up:
good luck 🙂
Answer by Aussie mumI use this method (when necessary) with a lot of success on my wrists:
There are different creams out there specifically meant to cover up tattoos, though I’ve never used any myself and thus can’t recommend any of them from personal experience.
As others said a bandaid may be used if the tattoo is small enough.
Depending on your job, you may be able to do a middle style hairstyle where your hair is up, but enough is left down in front to cover your tattoo.
You could talk to your boss about it- While some jobs will have a no tattoo rule, some management will make exceptions, especially if the tattoo is small and/or unoffensive.
Probably band-aids are not allowed because they look bad – that is to say, they’re very obvious. I mean, how often have you seen someone “hide” a facial piercing with a band-aid, and thought, well, THAT’S actually more distracting than the piercing itself!
But that doesn’t mean that you can’t use something else (other than makeup) to cover it. I would try a small piece of flesh-colored cloth tape, like the kind sold for wound dressings and athletic wrapping. It wouldn’t stick out the way a band-aid does, because there is no central padding, so it would fit itself much more closely to the curve of your head. You should look for a cloth-like material, rather than plastic, so it wouldn’t be shiny. If you use just one small neatly-cut piece (round off the edges), matched closely to your skin color (you might have to shop around – or maybe try rubbing some foundation makeup onto the cloth), and don’t draw any attention to it, it might not be noticed at all.
I have covered a nostril piercing that way in a no-band-aid environment, and no one ever commented on it.
