August For President: How much is 0bama planning on spending in his Illegal War in Libya to protect oil flow for Europe?
There can be no other reason we are involved, except to protect oil for Libya’s primary customer, which is the europeans.Say what you want about protecting people from a brutal dictator, but we all know there are plenty of those situations that we ignore daily,so that is not the reason.

It’s not a war, and if Europe didn’t get their oil from Libya, the price would go even higher. Simple supply and demand.

Illegal? Considering it was agreed upon by the Security Council. Considering it’s the exact same thing we did to the Serbs in the Bosnian War.Answer by serenely, soMEone
Not much. We’re already bankrupt from the last 15 or so.

And, yes, if it becomes a war (however that’s supposed to be defined), it will certainly be illegal. Only Congress can declare war as was not the case in the past several wars we called “police actions” and other nice names.

One: it’s not illegal. Try reading UN Resolutions 1973 and 1970.
Two: There are 50 despots currently in power around the world. Are you seriously suggesting invading fifty countries ????? You do what you can where it’s practical.
Answer by WorldPeaceThe President is commander of chief. He can control the military just not in a declared war. Read the United States constituion.Answer by Rick
It’s not just a no-fly zone, it’s a demilitarization policy. HUGE difference, which is just word play by the folks that want to label this nicely. Iraq violated 14 resolutions by the UN, while mister Omar has only violated one. Personally speaking, I wasn’t for the Iraq war starting, but I felt it was necessary to clean up our mess after we came in. I’m not for Obama’s actions in this conflict, as I think Obama is not learning from Bush’s mistakes. Sun Tzu, a famous war philosopher would say that you only fight when an objective can be accomplished quickly and with as few casualties as possible. Since when has bombs ONLY…ever caused a tyrant to give up!? You’ll find it hard to find in history. Either you do it or you don’t Obama…don’t half ass it. I personally feel sorry for the children, but I think that country needs to settle it’s own business, as it’s not been friendly to us in the past…I just don’t see the interest…other than the children (which is why they should get them out and them alone). Remember for every tyrant you kill…a new one (ESPECIALLY in these countries) may arise. I’d be weary of that and thus my desire to keep out of it. Any liberal that paints this nicely, while hating Bush’s war policy…is very delusional.
Where were we in Sudan, Rwanda, Burma, etc, etc….? Is the exception oil or Muslims…are Africans, Christians and Asians less important!? Shame on you for defending a policy that’s not equal in it’s treatment of people as a whole (especially when they’re friendly to us)! So willing to defend your leader, you can’t see through the lies. At least I as a right-leaner never supported Bush’s entrances into a war he didn’t think out, maybe the liberals should take notice.
