How does “falling in love” work?

eguru: How does “falling in love” work?
Sometimes it doesn’t make sense. If one person falls in love with another person, how come the other person is not aware of that. Actually it hasn’t got anything to do with him/her. Why do we love what we love? What’s the chemistry behind that? And, also, how come it usually ends in 2 weeks to 2 months or 5 years?

I have no idea…Ive only fallen in lust…

Answer by Naguru
It depends on various other factors. If a person falls, we should see in which direction he falls. At the same time if the another person also falls in the same direction just like prostrating and suppose both of them are not aware who is the first person to fall. Then a confusion gets into the mind. This confusion may remain for any amount of time – can’t say whether two weeks, two months or 5 years. Nobody knows how love works. It remains a secret.

works in many different ways. people have different reasons for loving their partners. sometimes its only about personality ( i mean ive seen some homely looking wives out there ). Sometimes only about lust. Some people also fall for people who are their opposite…like a tall person may be fascinated by a short one or an ugly one may feel he needs the genes of the beautiful one for his children. Also sometimes a man sees a woman who reminds him of his mother, and then he likes that a lot and falls for her. Some people may even feel guilty about being too goodlooking and so they date people who look average. the list goes on!

First you have to believe that real love exists. How we seperate love and lust? If love is just a chemical reaction in the brain, and lust is a chemical reaction in the brain, then isn’t love just lust.
