Alexis: How to convince my mom to let my female mouse have a friend?
She absolutely hates mice, she thinks they’re disgusting animals:(

My baby Sophia has stopped eating, stopped cleaning her fur, and stopped running on her wheel. She sleeps all day and all night, and started to bite me a lot. I took my mom to convince her that Sophia needs a friend, because she’s really lonely but my mom just won’t hear it. I broke down crying because I don’t want her to die, what can I do to convince my mom?

If she hates mice why did she let you get one in the first place? Not to be rude! Anyway, I suggest that you let her see how miserable the mouse is. Maybe she’ll take pity on her, maybe she won’t. If she does you probably got lucky. If she doesn’t then maybe you need to give the mouse to a friend. It sounds sad and hard but it would probably be better for the mouse to be with someone whose mom doesn’t mind all the little critters. Sorry, but that’s all I got. Good luck!
