Tell her this is your dream
this is what makes you happy
and if you don’t try then you’ll never know what could’ve been.
say this then tell her “i gave our number to an acting agency, this will help me pursue my dreams..i can’t do this without you..you know i need you.”
hope i helped.
Answer by OneUmmahI don’t think it’s a good idea. Call me an extremist or what not but I think Muslimahs exposing themselves in front of non-mahram men is a bad idea. Taking up acting may harm your emaan by doing the following:
Surrounded by Non-Mahram men
Doing things that’s forbidden in Islam such as kissing, holding hands or talking to men.
Involves in gossip.
May asked to reveal parts of your body that is forbidden (showing your chest, hair, legs) Not necessarily naked but dressing unmodestly in other words.
I know you promise that you can become a good muslimah but at the same time you’re going to contradict yourself sooner or later. How can you promise yourself to be a good Muslimah when you want to do something is forbidden in Islam?
I’m not saying you shouldn’t act but I think you should find something that’s suitable or do it in a halal way. Maybe something that can benefit the community?
Always keep the Shari’a in your heart and fear Allah subhan wa’tala and remember when He says:
Al Baqarah vs 216: Jihâd (holy fighting in Allâh’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know.
