R.B. #1: How Do I Get Rid of This Message On My Computer?
Every time I startup my computer I get a “found new hardware” message in my desktop. I didn’t install anything and the file is “PCI Simple Communications Controller” I looked in search for the file but can’t find it. Can anyone help me get rid of this annoying message??
I do choose cancel but every other time I startup it comes up again. I can’t keep choosing cancel every time, it will drive me nuts

instead of closing the message, open it, then it will get rid of itself .
i’ve had that happen and it’s a pain in the butt
Answer by Wayne Athis is a simple answer, and not looking into what’s really causing it, but, have you tried the other option when the box/message comes up?. . click cancel or whatever? (or choose the other choice, the one you haven’t been choosing up til now?)Answer by eRealMedia.com
Check the System devices (for Windows XP)
My Computer>Right Click Properties>Hardware>Device Manager
and check if there is any device which is conflicting or device driver is not installed.
