Finger nail polish remover with acetone in it, but be careful some material cant take the acetone, (acetate can not take the acetone)…..Pour the remover on the ink and keep rinsing in water. If they are dryclean only, hang them to dry. Do not put any of the cloths in the dryer until you know the ink is out. I hope the dryer has not already set the ink in.
you can also try using a alcohol based hairspray. and blot with paper towels until all the ink is gone.
Good luck
Answer by smileyI not sure if the ink will come out after it’s been through the dryer but you can try and spray some lysol on the areas where the ink is. Lysol will take ink out of hard surfaces so maybe it will work on the clothes. You can try a small area just to make sure that the lysol won’t ruin your clothes either.Answer by Jade Orchid
Try one of three things…
1. Take a can of hair spray like aqua net and a trashy towel or wash cloth. Place the cloth behind the stain and spray liberally with hairspray and allow to soak through to cloth. Apply liquid laundry detergent directly to the remainder of staind and wash again.
2. If that doesn’t work then don’t bother drying the clothes…Buy some Gojo or other strong “mechanics” hand cleaner from Walmart, rub into stain, and let sit overnight. Rewash.
3. For those larger messes try pouring one bottle of hair spray and two cups of Simple Green into the wash if you have a large mess (Like what you said) on top of the remedies listed above.
Good luck! And you’ll have to trash the “dry cleaning cloth” and buy a new one I’m sure…
P.S. Don’t feel bad…I washed AND dried my cell phone last week. Try making a note to hang over the washer that says “CHECK ALL POCKETS!!!”
Answer by Cynthia SI answered a similar question yesterday for someone that had permanent marker on their clothes…
Hair Spray as a pre-treater. It sounds strange but works great. Any household hair spray will do. Douse the area and then toss in the wash. It should come out.
Good Luck!

Just spray it on th estains let it soak in for just a little bit and then launder as usual.Answer by Paul M
I have often had a pen leak in my pocket and the only product that i know of that will get ink out with out having to wash my shirt for weeks or soak for months is Exit soap its amazing, also works on heaps of other stains new and old.Answer by Just Me
On colored items, you can soak the garment in milk. They say it works. On white fabrics, rub the area with a mix of lemon juice and salt. Hang to dry in the sun.
Hope this helps!
