Keith: How can I transfer files from a desktop hard drive to my laptop?
My desktop died recently from viruses, with some very important files on it. I can load the files on the desktop, but the computer wont recognize any external devices, so i cant extract them. So, my solution is to directly connect the hard drive to another comp(my laptop). How can I do this?

buy an external (empty) USB drive enclosure (go to ebay for really cheap cases) install your desktop harddrive into case and connect case to laptop. good luck!
use online storage. www.mediamax.comAnswer by Role_Model
Depends on how much files…
*USB Flash Drive (priority 1)
*External Hard Drive
*Network Both PC’s With an Enthernet Cable and Send files to the shared folderAnswer by Jeffery H K
This adapter I use can plug other drives of different sizes and plugs to USB so I can plug my old hard drive into my new computer and get my stuff off the drive
