“Well they say a man should always dress for the job he wants
So why am i dressed up like a pirate in this restaurant
Its all because some hacker stole my identity
Now I’m in every evening serving chowder and ice tea
Shoulda gone to free credit report dot com
I coulda seen this comin’ at me like an atom bomb
They monitor your credit and send you e-mail alerts
So you don’t end up selling fish to tourists in t shirts”

You can get your credit report for free (which of course includes your history) at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp – you can access all three of your credit reports at that site. However, credit scores are a proprietary product and to see your scores (3 credit bureaus and your original FICO score) you have to pay for them. You can, of course, try the “free” credit score companies (such as https://www.freecreditreport.com) – however, be forewarned you will have to provide a credit card number and your credit card will be charge once the free trial offer expires. The trials usually do not last long and the scores usually comes just before expiration in the hope you will delay canceling (or forget) and they get to charge you.Answer by Huntsman
You get all three credit reports once a year for free at
https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp
No credit card/debit card required.
Anything with the word free will require a card and will charge you for something that is 100% free – always has been.
