Sorry, if momma says no, then that means no.
ADDED: I don’t know why some of you people are saying that poodles/bichon frise don’t shed — ALL DOGS SHED!
Answer by PeachesIf you get a poodle, they don’t shed. Please rescue a dog!Answer by *~Fyrn~*
Get a dog that doesn’t shed, like a Poodle or Bichon Frise. Tell your mom some facts about the dog you want and show her you really are going to be dedicated and willing to care for it.Answer by LabLover
1) It’s persuade.
2) Yorkies don’t shed ( they do, but verrryy minimally)
3) Please do your research! Don’t just get a dog because they’re cute. Think about how old you are now. Now add 15 years to it. Your dog could probably still be up and kicking when your that age. What’s going to happen to it when you go to college? Are you financially ready? Just some things to think about before getting a dog =)Answer by cashewlicious
persuading parents can be a fruitless endeavor. However, if your father and you are willing to put in the research, I am sure you could find a good dog that does not shed. I have two Portuguese Water Dogs who do not shed–and I almost couldn’t get them because my mother was moving back in with me and she was allergic. Well, everything went smoothly, and there is no hair all over the house, and my mom does not sneeze or cough either! Remember, this dog could be alive for 15 years, so chances are that you will be in college leaving your parents with the dog before long. Make sure that everyone in you family has the time and commitment to take care of these great animals!Answer by Stina
If you know this dog will have a great home and you are a very responsible person, you need to research Yorkshire Terriers a bit more.
Yorkies are a “non-shedding” breed. While this isn’t very accurate, it does mean they don’t leave hair all over the house. You will need to brush the dog because when Yorkie’s do shed, their fur goes into the fur above the layer that is shedding. As long as you groom your dog often and pick up the very few stray hairs that fall off your dog, you shouldn’t have a problem.
Check out www.petfinder.com for local Yorkies in need. There are plenty. Otherwise, you’ll be paying a whole lot for the dog. Yorkies are in VERY high demand.
You need to be sure the whole family wants this dog though, and it isn’t just you. EVERYONE will be living with the creature.

Do extra chores and be extremely nice. She might realize that you really want a dog. Make sure she knows that you will take care of it. Having a dog is a big responsibility. I hope you get your yorkie!!!

Why would you be mean enough to think bringing any dog into a home where it wasn’t wanted by all family members is a good thing? You don’t need to convence her to get a dog – you already know she doesn’t want one and it is childish to want to convence her otherwise. Wait until you are an adult out on your own in your own home and then get your dog. She is the one that will end up having to care for it and be responsible for it when all is said and done and you don’t have the money to pay for emergency veterinary care should the dog need it… You are the kid and she is the adult – what she says goes and it is just more evidence that you don’t need a dog since you are trying to convince her to get one when it is wrong for the poor dog… how selfish…
add: ALL dogs shed — all warm blooded animals shed — the ones that don’t ‘drop’ their coats still shed and require extensive grooming to keep them healthy. Your mother is right – you don’t need a dog.
