Billy Bob: Have you used Linkedin to connect with hiring managers for companies you didn’t sign on with?
If so, how did they react? What option did you select as your relationship when adding them to your network?

Certainly anyone can use it to get names and contact info and then call them at their companies. If they don’t like it, then they probably shouldn’t have a LinkedIn account where anyone who joins can access this info. I would guess that most of them would be receptive to a cold call from a potential candidate though.
